Roasting

At Newly Coffee, we partner with leading expert roasters who use an oxygen-free, air-roasting process that brings out cleaner, richer flavour in every batch. Before roasting begins, each blend is weighed by hand to a precise recipe using trolleys with built-in scales and magnets to ensure purity and consistency.

Instead of a heated drum, the roasters use direct, high-velocity hot air to heat the beans evenly from the inside out. This reduces surface scorching, allows rapid adjustments during the roast, and produces a smoother, more refined cup that stays fresher for longer.

After roasting, the coffee is air-cooled inside the roaster and passed through a de-stoner to remove any remaining impurities. Each batch is fully traceable through specialised software that links every bag back to its farm of origin.

We rest the coffee to allow proper off-gassing, then pack and date it so it arrives ready to enjoy at its best. The outcome: consistently delicious, clean-tasting coffee, crafted with precision through our partnership with expert roasters and our commitment to quality.

Delivery

We offer a range of delivery options, including DPD and Royal Mail. Most deliveries cut off at 3pm and charges vary as follows:

Royal Mail 2nd Class (usually 2-4 days) - £2.70
Royal Mail 1st Class (usually 1-2 days) - £3.90
DPD Next Working Day delivery (one hour delivery slot) - £4.80
Free Next Working Day for orders over £35

What if my order hasn't arrived?

If your order has not arrived within the expected timeframe (5–7 days), please let us know, and we will promptly investigate and resolve the issue for you.

How much is delivery?

We offer a range of delivery options, including DPD and Royal Mail. Delivery charges vary as follows: Free for orders over £35, £2.70 for Royal Mail 2nd Class, £3.90 for 1st Class, and £4.80 for Next Working Day delivery.

What if I want to return my order?

Due to the perishable nature of coffee we have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unop or unused and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. 

Do you ship internationally?

We operate within the UK only.

What if my gift card isn't working?

If for whatever reason your gift card voucher isn't working, please get in touch with us at admin@newlycoffee.co.uk and we will investigate this for you and resolve the situation.

Where is your coffee from?

We source our beans from various countries around the world, including Colombia, Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Indonesia, Ethiopia, and Brazil. We emphasize sourcing high-quality, ethically produced beans. Check out our product descriptions for all the specific details! ☕️

What about allergens?

We do not add any additives to our coffee. All roasted from the green beans.

Coffee, in general, contains proteins that can trigger allergic reactions in susceptible individuals. These proteins include specific substances like Coffea arabica and Coffea canephora. Caffeine sensitivity can cause histamine release in some people, leading to itching, hives, or rashes.
